2020 Tour Dates Announced

November 30 - December 12

This family friendly hometown event begins together with the Kick Off to Christmas and Tree Lighting Ceremony held at St George Town Square on the Monday after Thanksgiving, November 30, 2020. Time of day: to be announced. It will run two weeks. Participating businesses will host uniquely crafted Gingerbread Houses. Visitors will collect stamps from each location and turn in their stamp-cards at the end to receive a prize. Visitors may also vote at each location - for their favorite gingerbread house. The parade ends with a celebration on December 12, 2020 National Gingerbread House Day. The location and time of that celebration is to be announced. 2020 - Mary Shipley - Volunteer Baker Spotlight

 A few years ago I got my children involved with Girl Scouts which means, I got sucked into participating as well - but actually I love Girl Scouts - it's a great program and I have met so many wonderful women because of it. One, in particular is Mary Shipley. Mary is the Volunteer Support Specialist for Girl Scouts of Utah. Basically, that means she goes around and hosts events to teach people about Girl Scouts and find moms, aunts or anyone really that would be interested in starting a troop for their girls or nieces. They have  events at the local library and they sometimes put on fun learning age-appropriate activities for the girls. When this is your motto: we build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place - then it's easy to get involved! Graduation: 4 years of Gingerbread Parade

  For the last four years I have organized the St George Gingerbread House Parade. And this year, I declare that I have graduated from it. Yippee! I will from here on out be supporting the Jubilee of Trees.  This year I plan to make one Christmas Wreath and one Gingerbread House for charity to raise funds for St George Regional Hospital. I totally get it that a lot of people think that the hospital doesn't need our charity because they got money and we lowly people don't. But, let's try to reason why it's good for the community. Because of the philanthropy of the community, it benefits us. The hospital can expand and bring needed services to the area keeping the costs down for us. So, what I am doing is shutting down the nonprofit status of St George Gingerbread House Parade and any remaining funds in the business account will be distributed to a nonprofit in the area as per the rules of the Articles of Inc
