2020 St George Gingerbread House Parade

This year the St George Gingerbread House Parade will still be a tour through different participating businesses in our community; however, the final auction will not take place. This year we are doing it a little different as our focus on our core mission has become more clear. The mission of the St George Gingerbread House Parade is threefold: 1) Continue to provide family friendly - spirit of Christmas - fun gingerbread tour for the community 2) Promote buy local and support local businesses 3) Raise funds for a community nonprofit namely the St George Children's Museum.

This year we are bringing back the stamp cards. So when you visit each of the gingerbread house locations, collect a stamp for each stop and bring your completed stamp cards for a Kid Friendly Prize.

**City event Kickoff to Christmas cancelled due to surge of Covid related illnesses at our local hospital.**

You might ask? Where do I pick up my stamp card? Pick it up November 30 at the St George Children's Museum between 6 - 8 PM.  It will be in one of the rooms where we make the gingerbread house craft. Or download it from our website... it will be released soon, or simply get your stamps somewhere on your gingerbread parade map (also coming soon!)

Where do I turn in my completed stamp card? Bring it to the Holiday Market at Ancestor Square on December 12th. We will have a booth and we will have prizes for the first 100 participants.

This event begins on the Monday after Thanksgiving, November 30th, at the City of St. George hometown event  - the Kickoff to Christmas

Program Location: Town Square on the lawn between the St George Library and the St George Carousel.

6 PM - Performances/choir/ugly sweater contest, etc. And the Recreation Department will be giving out gingerbread man cookies and milk!

6:45PM - Tree Lighting Ceremony by the Mayor... everyone sings Santa Claus is coming to town and then... Santa Claus comes!

7 PM - Santa Dash event - so you runners be on the look out for the sign up booth; and the line for pictures with Santa begins

8 PM - it's over, time to go home.

Also between 6 - 8 PM there will be crafts and hot cocoa at the St George Children's Museum.

I have good word on two royal sisters being at the event... still waiting to hear back if Buddy the Elf will join us.
