You could say that the Gingerbread House tour started at Forever Young Fine Jewelers and in a way you would be right. In fact, the origins of this St George holiday tradition did begin in the same location, also a jewelry store, but it was then McArthur Jewelers - and says so on the building. The late Jeremy Young had worked at McArthur's from 2012-2016 when they closed. Then he and his wife Megan opened Forever Young Fine Jewelers. Since Jeremy has passed away,  his wife Megan still owns and operates the store.

Megan Young has been a supporter of the Gingerbread tour ever since. Forever Young Fine Jewelers is a staple in our community and supports many causes. Now as far as jewelry goes, they got it! And they don't just have incredibly beautiful engagement and wedding rings which is what most people might think of, but you can also special order other fine gifts through the retailer like silver spoons, frames and so forth. They have a catalog you can see many possibilities. They also have beautiful glass roses which make a fine gift. They have also been voted #1 Best Jewelry Store in Southern Utah for 5 years in a row; and also have been voted "Best Place to Buy a Gift." So, I'm not the only one saying it.

The Gingerbread House on display here is made by the baking family: Jeff & Erdine Drake. They have a tradition where they made one for Forever Young every year. I always find it exciting to see what they make. Always classy filled with striped candy canes. The gingerbread house is on display in the front window. But remember to come inside and ask for a stamp for your map. Don't have a map? That's okay, they have extra copies to get your started!

Here are some snap shots of the Drake family gingerbread house on display now. But don't just rely on my average photography, go take a look at it for yourself. 😄
