The St George Dinosaur Discovery Site is participating in this year's St George Gingerbread House Parade. The gingerbread house will be on display from Monday, November 30th through Saturday, December 12th. Come in and have a look at it and vote for it! It will be made by the volunteer baker Chelsea Hardy, owner of Dulcet Cake Company.

The St George Dinosaur Discovery Site at Johnson Farm is a natural history dinosaur museum. Though it doesn't look like farm today, the area is booming with commercial and residential growth. The museum houses thousands of fossilized footprints from the Jurassic period, most of them found right here at its original site of discovery.

The museum, also has a nice little gift and souvenir shop - which I am going to showcase today.

In my family growing up, we had a Christmas eve tradition of opening up one present - and it was always a pair of pajamas. When I tried to continue this tradition in my own family, I switched to giving out a pair of foot slippers instead because my children already had way too many pajama sets. So, how about considering a nice set of fuzzy dino-slippers that you can buy right here at the museum's shop? It's on my wish list!

There are also lots of special dinosaur stuffed animals for the dino-lover in your family. But why buy it here when you can get one online somewhere? I will tell you why. Because when you buy something locally, you support a local business - or in this case, you support the museum. Also, you know exactly what you are buying. You can pick it up, touch it, and know that it's a quality product.

I have this back scratcher and it is great!
