New Location and Partnership Announced!

Save the Date!

On Saturday December 11, 2021 from 1:00-4:00 PM, we will be giving out prizes for the first 50 persons that turn in their completed maps with stamps from every location. Yay!

Originally, we did this during the annual Holiday Market at Ancestor Square; however, this location has changed.

The new location is Atwood Innovation Plaza at DSU. And the reason why is because this is the same day as the St George Kids Market Holiday Edition. So we are joining forces. Instead of sending y 'all to two locations that day, you can get all your local gifts in one place!

Inside the Atwood Innovation Plaza - the young entrepreneurs will be set up and ready to sell. And outside on the south lawn, across from the Alumni House, the regular Farmers Market vendors will be set up.

Stay tuned for more information to come - such as who will be set to perform and shower us with holiday music and entertainment. 🎄

2020 - Mary Shipley - Volunteer Baker Spotlight

 A few years ago I got my children involved with Girl Scouts which means, I got sucked into participating as well - but actually I love Girl Scouts - it's a great program and I have met so many wonderful women because of it. One, in particular is Mary Shipley. Mary is the Volunteer Support Specialist for Girl Scouts of Utah. Basically, that means she goes around and hosts events to teach people about Girl Scouts and find moms, aunts or anyone really that would be interested in starting a troop for their girls or nieces. They have  events at the local library and they sometimes put on fun learning age-appropriate activities for the girls. When this is your motto: we build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place - then it's easy to get involved! Graduation: 4 years of Gingerbread Parade

  For the last four years I have organized the St George Gingerbread House Parade. And this year, I declare that I have graduated from it. Yippee! I will from here on out be supporting the Jubilee of Trees.  This year I plan to make one Christmas Wreath and one Gingerbread House for charity to raise funds for St George Regional Hospital. I totally get it that a lot of people think that the hospital doesn't need our charity because they got money and we lowly people don't. But, let's try to reason why it's good for the community. Because of the philanthropy of the community, it benefits us. The hospital can expand and bring needed services to the area keeping the costs down for us. So, what I am doing is shutting down the nonprofit status of St George Gingerbread House Parade and any remaining funds in the business account will be distributed to a nonprofit in the area as per the rules of the Articles of Inc
